Ooty Lake, an artificial lake created for fishing, is undoubtedly a site to see and one of the highlights of any Ooty tour. Boating is very popular on this lake. On its calm waters, visitors can be seen taking a refreshing ride.

Near the lake, there is a boating house that rents out a variety of boats. Cycling along a lake is something that should be done. Around the lake, there are a few other stores that sell a variety of locally produced goods.

The Botanical Gardens of Ooty are without a doubt one of the most visited attractions in Ooty and are maintained by the Horticultural Department of Tamil Nadu.
